Its limited for a reason.
Sometimes the limit has to do with the fitted tires, not the stability of the vehicle, e.g. euro models with certain Conti tires can be reflashed to do 130.

I wouldn't care to try a ZJ at 110+ but the '14 with aero suspension and even just stock Latitudes is quite stable at that speed.

This is true. When I did the high speed runs I had tires on it good for 150. Now the tires I have only good to 118 but at the moment its aero limited to 117 cuz the airdam is missing. Its not that it wont go any faster but the front gets very "light" and twitchy without the airdam. Thats the reason im saying its aero limited. I dont dare go faster with it the way it is now.

Re: Being outrun by a Mitsi-Outlander-NOT COOL!

I've seen little econo cars ding 110.... It's not how fast you can go, it's how fast you get to that speed.

Anyone can mash the pedal and wait 45 seconds..... At the end of the day, that mitsu is big, ugly, slow and ....ugly... You're in a sexy GC limited. You've already won.

Very true, but from a dig it wont beat me or up top. Especially if it's a new one that only has the 2.5

No idea brother. Heck idk where my 3.7 tops at. All I can say is its north of 140. Its been over 130 and was still pulling so id imagine the 5.7 is higher.

Well even you have to admit. 130 plus in a 3.7 is very impressive

That's extremely impressive. Unless it is an SRT, I'm not sure if I want to find out what the top speed is, and even then, I still might not. The non-SRTs are limited for a reason (not a dig at you, I know you have extensively modified yours to be safer at high speeds). I will admit, however, that I got mine up to 90 and felt completely safe and stable. There was also plenty of power left. Someone posted a video of a 2014 Summit Diesel hitting 129 MPH yesterday, and it looked like it still had some left (must have hit the limiter or the driver wimped out). I bet the 5.7L HEMI could hit 150 MPH+ without the limiter, but I won't be finding out.
