Even the srt is limited at 165 to 170. I don't remember the exact number. Mine is modified but there is a lot more to come to be truly safe at speed.

I keep my limiter in place b/c I know my tires are rated only to 114 and I know if I don't have a limiter one day I will get irresponsible and try to exceed that.

that's always a good idea, as of now I haven't made any high speed runs with the current set of tires cuz there only good to 118 and I don't want to risk it. even I wont exceed tire ratings

Any moron can drive fast in straight line or on the interstate. Little boys like you all need to have the limiters set at 85mph.

The non-SRTs are limited for a reason (not a dig at you, I know you have extensively modified yours to be safer at high speeds). I will admit, however, that I got mine up to 90 and felt completely safe and stable. There was also plenty of power left. Someone posted a video of a 2014 Summit Diesel hitting 129 MPH yesterday, and it looked like it still had some left (must have hit the limiter or the driver wimped out). I bet the 5.7L HEMI could hit 150 MPH+ without the limiter, but I won't be finding out.
that really depends on gearing, but I think its possible, it will take a while to get there. my 3.7 stops pulling hard once it hits fourth it just steadily creeps up there. but I got some stupid long gearing tho. 3.07 rear and with the ratios in the trans:

@ redline
1-45mph
2-72mph
3-115mph
4-upwards of 140+ est.
5-only God knows how fast

infact I did some research on it, if I had the power and aerodynamics, it has enough gear to do 196mph

Let's not start a war all over again. I don't know if you remember (or were even here), but a few months back there was a very similar discussion that ended very badly.

All I will say is that when I was going 90, I was only exceeding the speed limit by 15 MPH, and it was only for a few seconds. I am not encouraging top speed runs and don't approve of them (I never go above 20 MPH over and usually stay around 10 MPH over, which goes with the flow of traffic), but I am willing to bet that strongjeff only tries these runs in perfect conditions (good weather, lighting, very few if not no cars, etc.) or on a closed course, minimizing the potential danger, and is probably significantly less of a threat than someone texting, so I'm not going to make a big deal over it. When I said that it was impressive that he could hit 140 MPH+, I was saying that it was impressive that his V6 Jeep could go so fast, not that he was driving that fast. You are free to share your opinion that he should not be driving so fast, but he is an adult capable of making his own choices, regardless of whether they are the best choices or not. You are no better than the rest of us and should not act like you are.

Yep. Thankfully he was banned.

While we are on the subject, I'd like to thank all of you in the military for your service. Unfortunately, not enough people appreciate what you guys do for our country.

I appreciate the backup. I don't normally drive that fast unless its a top speed run or im at the track. I almost never txt and drive, although I have talked and driven. I usually stay within 5 over. 10 if the cops allowed. On 41a outside fort campbell. The cops give you 15, as soon as you do 16 they slam you. I have no speeding tickets or moving violations on my record. My above post was only explaining the speeds I can hit in each gear. I openly admit I have hit 132 and was still creeping up. My top speed runs are only done on the best conditions during the summer months. I am not starting another war as I will finish it.
