Re: Best 0-60 for me

Just got home... did 2 0-60 runs, first one was slightly uphill, second one was slightly downhill. Had 3/4 tank of gas, subs in the back, turn off ESP, no autostick. Ambient conditons - truck was fully warmed up, 73 degrees outside and about 65% humidity, 800 feet above sea level. Average time of 6.27 seconds. Not too bad for the canned 91 tune with the superchips I don't think.

IS that the same number fuse on the 4.7? The #17 fuse on mine says its for the rear glass i believe.

Look in your manual under fuses, and find the one that says ABS Pump. It should be a pink 30amp cavity fuse (big, not a mini fuse).

Re: Best 0-60 for me

Thanks for the response, I did some looking, srt8cherokee posts say the stock srt8 rims are:
Wheels = Front , 36.2 lbs. Back, 37.6 lbs.
Tires = Front, 36 lbs. Back, 40 lbs.

Can anyone with one an srt8 confirm this? It doesnt make me feel as bad about my setup being 32 lbs rims with 34 lbs tires

[QUOTE=LTrainGC;78256]It's not so much your tires keeping you slow, but those heavy ass rims. Takes more power to get them rolling, and keep them rolling.

A wide tire is good to get traction, but you gotta have a lightweight wheel. The SRT rims are lightweight aluminum IIRC.

Yes it will light the dash lamps as the systems are no longer functional.

Re: Best 0-60 for me

When comparing the wheels and tires between SRT8 Jeeps and 5.7 HEMI Jeeps, just keep in mind that the SRT8 wheel/tire combo is MUCH wider by comparison with little weight penalty.

Front
SRT8 20” x 9” with Goodyear RS-A runflat 255/45/ZR20 tires
17" x 7.5" with P245/65R17 Goodyear Fortera all-terrain tires
18" x 7.5" with Goodyear Wrangler black sidewall BSW all-terrain P245/60R18 tires
Rear
SRT8 20" x 10" with Goodyear RS-A runflat 285/40/ZR20 tires
17" x 7.5" with P245/65R17 Goodyear Fortera all-terrain tires
18" x 7.5" with Goodyear Wrangler black sidewall BSW all-terrain P245/60R18 tires

I don't have the weight differences between the various 17x7.5 wheels compared to the 18's or the 20's.

Re: Best 0-60 for me

I guess then a better question is does anyone know what a stock jeep 17x7.5'' wheel weighs?

Re: Best 0-60 for me

i think the next set of tires i put on mine will be 255/45 all around, I don't really like the 275/45's I have now
