I really want to get one of these filters so your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Brad

EDIT - It looks like the EaAU4075 will fit...4" flange ID with Media + Flange = 9"...it is not a inverted cone on the top and it seems like that would be an advantage, am I correct? My current filter is 6" wide and is up against the side of the heat shield...I see that EaAU4091 is an off-set flange but is too wide (6.75") and too long overall (almost 11").

Here are the largest dimensions I can fit - Media Length + Flange Length =<9.2", Flange ID = 4", Base media width =<6" OR 8" if flange off-set....IDK it doesnt look like anything will work...again I plead for your assistance. FYI I have the AIRAID intake set-up, here is a pic

As you can see there is def some room in there, but the current filter is up against the back of the heat shield.

The 4075 has a flat black top, I want one like these

I'll look into it & see if there was anything we might have missed.

Re: Best cone air filter?

well the 4070 is does not have the inverted cone, but it does have a chrome end & a 6" base diameter. Unless you want to modify that air box to accept the longer filter. I think the side of that box could be trimmed out to accept the longer filter with the inverted cone.

Keep this in mind though, even the smaller filters with out the inverted cones are going to have plenty of air flow for that application.

Re: Best cone air filter?

Not to hijack thread but also looking to replace my Airaid filter. I do think the 4070 seems to be the best fit. Can you PM me with pricing shipped to area code 02760.

thanks

Re: Best cone air filter?

I have the AE stage II, it has a box with aluminum top cover around the entire filter. Many other setups I have seen are really not CAI, and allow hot engine bay air into the filter.

Re: Best cone air filter?

The only "TRUE CAI" is the BWOODY all others are simply "SHORT RAM" intakes.

Re: Best cone air filter?

I ordered the Amsoil 4070 and installed it today. Looks great. Just a tad larger than the Airaid filter. As such need to be a little careful putting it on as to not scratch the front cover against the box since it has a nice polished cap. Here's a shot of it on.
