Best Exhaust for 2007 SRT8

Right now I have the mopar performance package (was on here when I bought it), which comes with mopar cai and exhaust. I can't seem to find out who made mopar's exhaust that year (i.e., borla, corsa, etc) and what I want to know is....

Is there a better one available with a more muscular sound and more power allowance? And, if so, what is it and what headers would go well with it?

Just for completeness, the only other mod I have is a hypertech max power tune...which makes my Jeep pretty sick.

All suggestions are welcome and are a great help!

Ditch the Hypertech and buy a Diablo Predator. The catback you have is the best imo because you won't get any drone like other manufacturers. Yes headers would set off that combo and you'd really notice the sound. You'd probably lose some low end torque but gain some power uptop with the headers. I'd recommend either Kooks or American Racing long tubes.

BTW it's made by Corsa. Borla made some 5.7 catbacks for Mopar on the LX models and Challenger.

Thanks for the prompt response. Kooks is who I've been looking at for headers for both my Jeep and my wife's GTO.

As for the tuner...the Diablo was discontinued and replaced by the InTune. I've got a guy at the Shelby Motor Speed Shop here in Las Vegas who told me if I bring him a Diablo tuner, my Jeep, & $475, he will write me a custom tune which will include dyno testing and tuning.

Thumbs up Re: Best Exhaust for 2007 SRT8

If you are looking for an aggressive sound drop the mufflers and resonators and just replace them with the same size pipping
I dropped my whole system from the cats back and replaced it with 4" pipes all the way back to 6" tips mean loud and aggressive
The video is a cold start 23 F

Re: Best Exhaust for 2007 SRT8

My OBX headers bolted right up to my Corsa/Mopar cat back.
OBX Full Header Exhaust Headers 06 10 Jeep SRT8 6 1L V8 SRT 8 | eBay
I fitted the Green Kooks cats in place of the resonators even the OBX cats with leave a code.
