Borla on a Hemi

So, by the end of the summer I'm gunna put on a new exhaust. Right now I'm thinkin about the Borla for my 05 Hemi. I really would love to do duals and have one tip on each side. Anyone have the Borla for a WK? More than greatful for opinions

Re: Borla on a Hemi

I recently went with the Borla cat-back in T 304 stainless on my 06 Hemi. Sounds good, looks good, easy install.

However, I'm now second-guessing myself... The lack of backpressure was instantly apparent in loss of torque. I expected this, and the ECM seems to have somewhat compensated, but still... I haven't noticed any real gains in anything like mpg or higher RPM power (butt dyno).

I'm starting to wonder if I wouldn't have been just as happy with an exhaust setup that was half the price or less.

The sound is nice, though... Not as raw or harsh as others I have heard. Sort of a low refined rumble that can be opened up into a low roar.

Hope that helps.

Re: Borla on a Hemi

Borla is great quality stuff; I have a Borla dual on my SHO, but as Kaimana says, a catback alone just makes noise and you can lose low end torque on a stock hemi. The exhaust manifold on the WK is where the restriction lies and where more significant improvements can be realized.
