When you put the CAI on do you take the plastic peace out that was hooked to the stock filter box thats behind the grill to create more air or does this peice help?

what type of CAI did you end up getting ?

Generally yes you remove the box to keep it open since it's a cone filter that connects to your Resonator or Throttle Body

I made my own and then put a K&N filter on it. Ok thanks I kinda figured that it would make sence to remove that peice. I also put a sock on it untill the weather gets better so i dont suck water up in there.

I removed it when I installed my K&N intake.
