I have a 2006 crd, i have replaced the air filter with a direct replacement k&n panel filter, i have had it remapped, now pushing 272bhp also added a mid sport stainless exhaust system, including sports cat! She sounds great and also out performs, my friends rangerover super charger! With the added bonus of returning around 32mpg around town when driven calmly!!!

Re: Can you get a decent hum from v6

Sorry, to get the best sound, get a 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi and add a Borla or Corsa exhaust. You can't really do much with a V6 and expect to add a good sound without restricting air flow.

Anything is possible.
Would it be cheaper than trading in for the V8 if that's what you want? No way.
The V8 has an entirely different drivetrain.

A more open exhaust and cold air intake should make it louder.
Playing cards rubbing on the wheel spokes would also make it noisier...
