Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

Did you ever find an answer to this? I was wondering the same thing myself. Plan on doing heads and a cam this spring along with an eagle intake.

no sorry. i took it to local exhaust shop to find out and it was going to cost to much to fit the manifold so i didn't even try. will probably end up getting some kooks or srt8 wk1 headers

Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

Do you know what the difference between the srt wk1 manifolds and the srt challenger/charger/300 manifolds is?

Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

Just a follow up to this. The challenger manifolds just don't have any clearance. Everything is alot tighter in our jeeps. FWIW.

Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

Tpabayflyer, I'm looking at doing something similar to my '05 WK 5.7L. Was yours a straight swap with a little hanger fabrication, or did you need to remove the spare tire and modify the undercarriage to make it fit?
I've heard horror stories about people upgrading their WK headers and having clearance issues with the transmission. Did you have any of that?

Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

That doesn't sound too daunting. The only problem might be in states like CT where you have get your emissions checked on a regular basis.
Is there any way to re-route your EGR so you can stay compliant?
If not, would the shorty headers from JBA work instead?

Do you use your GC as a daily driver?

Re: Challenger SRT8 headers on WK 5.7?

Yes, I do. I'd like for it to have a mean street sound and power, but daily driver practicality. If I take it to the track, it would be rare and only 1/4 mile at a time, haha.
