is this possible? have a friend who got a full exhaust and is willing to sell me the stock 2010 lx srt8 exhaust manifold and mid pipes. i've seen people do the 5.7 lx to 5.7 wk. thank you!

no sorry. i took it to local exhaust shop to find out and it was going to cost to much to fit the manifold so i didn't even try. will probably end up getting some kooks or srt8 wk1 headers

Tpabayflyer, I'm looking at doing something similar to my '05 WK 5.7L. Was yours a straight swap with a little hanger fabrication, or did you need to remove the spare tire and modify the undercarriage to make it fit?
I've heard horror stories about people upgrading their WK headers and having clearance issues with the transmission. Did you have any of that?

That doesn't sound too daunting. The only problem might be in states like CT where you have get your emissions checked on a regular basis.
Is there any way to re-route your EGR so you can stay compliant?
If not, would the shorty headers from JBA work instead?

Nice! Count me interested if the price is right! (I think somewhere around $600 would work for me. I realize that that's more of a mass-produced price, but hey, I've got a family, lol. Gots ta save mah moneys.)

By the way, sleeps messaged me last night. I guess OBX headers for the 6.1L will actually fit our pre-2008 5.7 WK's. He pointed me at eBay, and the prices for them are all around $600, some are less, if you just get the headers.
However, the prospect of getting headers that are specifically designed to fit our WK's is very attractive!

Cool beans. When it's done, you should totally start a new thread about it. Pics, price, all that jazz. Would be an easy way to see what kind of interest is generated.
Might be enough of a motivation for those guys to start building more of those systems. If I could get a full bolt-on true dual with new headers for ~ $1000, I'd definitely give it serious consideration. I'm sure there are plenty of 5.7 WK drivers out there who'd jump at the opportunity.
