Sleepy do you have any insight towards the dependability of the front and rear differentials and the transmission, too. On average.. how much hp can one put into a 4x4 until they should be concerned about damage to the drivetrain?

I have the 91 tune and when I let off the throttle after a near WOT jaunt, I hear this loud "clunk" from the front I think it's the front diff. maybe not and it sounds too loud to be the TC.. any insight?

I agree, something isn't adding up. I believe that the Airaid is part of the problem. An unknown part of it is the tune. And I bet about .1 is because of the wheel/tire combo. 1 lb of rotational mass is equivalent to about 7 lbs of static weight, so if you can compare how much each combo weights....you can approximate the difference in times.

are both exhausts 2.5? or 3"?

I have the original QD unit in my WJ....They work. I regularly take my Jeep through sand pits and so long as you keep your foot in it, yes, it works as advertised. That being said, I have damaged a pinion gear on street tires while wheeling.....Oops. Lets just say there was alot of throttle and wheel hop involved on that one. Pretty unlikely to happen as long as you're not driving like a moron. I was guilty as charged on that one.

Since you have IFS, and QD is a mechanical system not electronic like QD II I'm not really sure what that is....I'd be tempted to say it could be a u-joint (if such a thing exists going to an IFS front axle???)

When DSP first came out for the Rams, there was several people having drivetrain issues....many had transmission failures not long afterward. Many reported clunks upon letting off the gas.

I dont have a full exhaust. Just a muffler but for me I am using the stock sized pipes until the muffler, then it's 3''.
