compass 2007 power lost

Hello,

I have a jeep compass 2.4 vvt fuel/gas 2007, and since 6 months i don't have power. When i'm on highway i hardly overtake cars.
Aswell when the car is cold engine shut off at traffic light.
My exhaust was bad, so i changed it and by the way i also changed temperature air and water sensors. My sparks and solenoids are news. My O2 sensor is new aswell.
But it's still the same.

If someone have any ideas please let me know.

In advance thanks.

Remi

Re: compass 2007 power lost

Did you check if any DTC is present? If not present, i would start with checking the fuel pressure at the rail.

Re: compass 2007 power lost

Hi,

By mind, i checked cylinders pressure and i discovered that it's low. (from 10 to 6.5 for lowest)
So i removed cylinder head for re-machining it, but...
My car is a LPG/petrol, LPG is fitted on since 35000Km.
Is someone know if i should change valve seats, or if origin valves are ok??

Thanks.

bye

Re: compass 2007 power lost

I would at least let the shop check the seats and let them do a valve job with new valve stem seals as well.

Yes of course Frango,
But I mean that, there are differents kinds of seats and maybe quality, i know that on some cars isn't recommended to use LPG; unless to change valves seats by harder one.

Re: compass 2007 power lost

I think that the shop can tell you the best, with the experience they have. How many kmīs does the jeep have now with the original seats?

Re: compass 2007 power lost

The car has now 125000 Km, and use LPG from 90000 Km.
I bring my head at shop, the man said that exhaust valves are used.
He can re-machning and adjust it but the man doesn't know the valve clearance adjutment.
Is someone know what is the valve clearance ajustment for a Jeep Compass 2.4 vvt 2007?

In advance Thanks.
