Please help!

Just purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude.

Looking to update the stock exhaust. Two exhaust kits I've been looking at are;

Magnaflow 19216 Catback and the Corsa 14557.

Any suggestions or other options?

Thanks,

I had a Magnaflow 16929 that I put on my '15 Limited. Powder coated the tips black and it looked and sounded fairly mean. Got a great deal on it around a holiday sale and it was just a bit more expensive than buying a stock duel exhaust (15 Limited had single exhaust) - thus I pulled the trigger.

II liked it for ~6 months and swore by it. It was loud but no deafening. However, the drone on the highway at 60+ started to get to me a bit. Doing local driving in town was no issue though. Looked into having it removed but ended up trading that Jeep in. Much happier with the quieter HA exhaust right now.

Not sure if that helps, but that's my 2cents

Thanks CrimsonKing. I appreciate your 2cents. I like to hear from personal experiences to make sure I make the right decision or not follow through and save for something else. I use my jeep for heavy comutting and I'm afraid to have the loud drone in the cabin.
Thanks for your feedback. Greatly appreciated

I recently installed a Borla catback exhaust system on my 2017 Jeep GC Hemi. It sounds very aggressive at startup, nice burble at idle, and throaty under acceleration. At cruise it settles down with factory like quiet. I chose this setup after listening to the sound clips (search on Youtube) of the Magnaflow, Corsa, and Borla. I am very picky and this turned out to be a great choice. Borla was also the lowest cost, about $1150 delivered and spent $200 on the install at the local Jeep dealership.

Corsa, all the way baby!! Find the sound clip of Borla vs Corsa on the 5.7 Hemi. The Corsa sounds waaaaay better! No comparison . . . :D

Forgive me for reviving an old thread but I didn't want to start another with the same title.

I've been doing research on the Corsa and Magnaflow exhaust systems and am wondering what difference, if any, it makes for the Corsa to have two rear mufflers versus the one on the Magnaflow.

I could "live" with the Corsa for guaranteed no-drone but it's just a tad too loud for me. The Magnaflow is more on my level but have read some folks not liking the drone.

Thanks in advance!

Corsa is a true dual exhaust and uses noise cancellation technology (no sound deadner to break down).

MagnaFlow exhaust runs into one muffler filled with glass mat (kind of like the old glass pack style mufflers). Because both exhaust pipes run in to one muffler, you loose your true dual exhaust.

Corsa uses a better grade stainless steel. It might discolor a little, but it won't get surface rust like MagnaFlow can.

I am using the Corsa Sport Exhaust Systems 14991BLK. No complaints. Mellow sound, not too loud, no rasp, no drone.

I have used MagnaFlow before. I like their sound. But I did get some drone in MDS mode in a Ram 1500 with the same engine.

... I have a 2020 GC Trailhawk with 5.7 with the Corsa exhaust.
