I wanted to create this post to help bring to light what the new Superchips Advanced Trans Tuning feature is all about and how it can help you customize your driving experience.

What it does:

The Superchips Advanced Trans Tuning feature unlocks the following options:

Manually adjustable Shift Schedules (length of shift + or - from one gear to another)
- Individual gear shift schedule adjustment (up or down)
- OD off shift schedules *
- Low (4-Low)*

Manually adjust trans TQ management** (Shift firmness during shifts)
- Part throttle shifts*
- WOT shifts*

* If equipped
** Not present on vehicles with T-42 transmissions (3.7L & 3.8L)

Shifts are determined by two parameters:
1) MPH = user adjustable
2) Pedal percentages

The feature is an upgrade for your 3875 Flashpaq programmer and can be downloaded through our internet update website.

In order to activate this feature the tuner must first be Vin-Locked.

Coverage:
3875 Flashpaq:
05-09 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L and 5.7L HEMI
05-09 Jeep Commander 4.7L and 5.7L HEMI
07-10 Jeep JK 3.8L

Let me know if I can answer any questions you might have on this feature or anything Superchips related.

They do. Its currently only available for the 545RFE in the Ram though. Should start trickling down soon. I know they're currently working on the NAG1 for the SRTs, which it seems SuperChips has given up on (can't really blame them. I would have too if I was them).

I have this application for my 4.7L and its literally made it a better drive in an instant. Definitely worth the money! +1 for Superchips.

I have it, and I have noticed a difference in shift firmness. I just wish I knew what were the best settings for the shift schedule, I'm totally lost. I tried the settings from the dodge website, however their stock settings and options are slightly different, very similar, but different. Hence the first WOT with the settings resulted in bouncing off the rev limiter from first to second gear.

Scott, i will probably be purchasing a Superchips Flashpaq 3875 in the near future... check out my sig to see the set up im running. im looking to improve fuel econ and performance. What setting would you recommend?

Robp - i know you love yours too and we have somewhat similar set ups, maybe you can chime in? thanks.

the product includes a mileage tune that gives the user the best opportunity for improved fuel mileage.

That being said the tuning alone won't give you mileage if you are the type of driver who goes full throttle off the line at a light or changes their MPH often while on the highway rather than staying at a steady speed.

So keep in mind that your driving style is a direct reflection on how the product will work for you.

Your speedometer can be corrected for the larger tires with our recalibration feature but that won't help improve your mileage like the tuning will.

The only other option that will specifically affect mileage would be through the transmission.

We offer two options as far as transmission tuning options go. The first is included with the Mileage tune when installed.

If you are looking to squeeze out the most mileage out of your vehicle we offer an advanced transmission tuning option for an additional $40 through internet update.

This option offers you the ability to manually tune your shift points up and down in every throttle position. You basically gain the ability to gear your transmission to a custom level for performance or mileage at the touch of the button.

Additionally the product performs even better with you install a cold air intake and catback exhaust system.

By removing some of the intake and exhaust restrictions the vehicle performs more efficiently and in most cases it requires less throttle pressure when getting up to speed which adds to your fuel savings.
