I have been looking at the TRINITY from Diablo and they finally have it for the 5.7!!!
Does anyone have this? Worth the extra $250-300 for it? There are some really cool options and features on it...and I like that its a diag. tool as well!! Any and all info appreciated...
From what I understand the main difference is the color display, the monitoring, and timer capability. The tunes are the same. My opinion it's not worth the money. But if thats your thing then go for it.
Well If you go the Predator and the Dashawk route, New both of those will run u , $675.00 , So The Touch Screen, Tuning, and Monitoring/Data Logging all in one device , and ive seen them for 599. free shipping. Wait Mine just arrived this morning, LMAO.
I will install it tomorrow and we will see from there.
According to Diablo I will be able to:
Idle RPM Drive/Neutral - I'm bumping this up to 750 Rev Limit Drive/Neutral - Moving this up to 6,500 Limit MDS disable - Will play around with this one Shift Points - Will set these according to new powerband Speed limit - Will be set to NONE if it will let me...lol
Modify Torque Management - Will be reduced as much as possible!
iEMS3 is standalone/integrated engine management. It doesn't mess with the PCM at all and the PCM cannot even see it. The iEMS3 just takes it's cues from the stock tune and adjusts them to meet what ever you program into it. Adjusting fuel by 2 millisec pulses throughout the entire powerband at 250rpm increments cross referenced with your vac/boost pressure, adjust timing, boost, NOS, Alky/Meth, Fuel Temp Correction, 3D fuel and timing maps, a absolute ton of stuff! All sitting on my laptop next to me...best way to describe it is just like the Fast and the Furious....lol
Plus you can switch the iEMS3 tunes on the fly!
With the Trinity I get to mod the PCM specs i listed above and have even more gauges/options than the DashHawk. I will not be messing with any other fuel/timing maps/tables as the iEMS3 does a way better job at that.
I own an expensive paperweight at this time. 08's might work but no go for an 05!
Calling their tech support is interesting to say the least. First time I was told to pick any vehicle and just go back later and change it, as an 05 Jeep is not listed in the Trinity's menu...but they advertise it for the 05.
Second time I called I talked to Mike and was told to choose an 06 Ram 1500.
I'm unsure at this point but I'm waiting for now, but we will see.
so its a diablo problem eh? because i got my trinity in, and it would not connect to my vehicle, diablo said it was because of the (old style) cable. they sent me a new one in yesterday, i tryed to connect it before my night shift started and get the tune setup but it would still not connect to the jeep. i was going to call this afternoon.....
