Re: Escape's Hemi Punisher is running, new pics!

I'm amazed you didn't have a catch can on it already?

As you know oil vapour helps instigate pinging/knock, which is a no-no in any engine but especially forced induction engines.

Maybe I missed it. Did you go with Sharadon for the stroker?

Re: Escape's Hemi Punisher is running, new pics!

Was a great read watching all this grow in stages. Sounds really nice in th videos too and bet even better in real life.
A couple of questions though. Why in the photo below was the exhaust connected to the air outlet instead of the exhaust inlet?

Another thing was I wondered why the inlet housing of the turbo was not rotated 90* to the right and then the intake piping run over the rail and down between that and the sill? This would save a few feet of it being right next to the the exhaust and being heated up by it and dropping air density and therefore hp. Especially without a intercooler as well as any insulation.

Thanks man!

In the first pick it is an optical illusion/bad angle that makes it look like it is connected to the wrong side. I was mocking up the new routing of the exhaust since I installed the longtubes.

In the second photo if I had rotated it 90* it would have been a ground clearance issue. It is chemically intercooled (meth) at the throttlebody and I am currently working on spraying meth pre turbo which will lower the temps a ton more.

Re: Escape's Hemi Punisher is running, new pics!

Thanks for the reply. Thought I might be missing something. The the first picture does look like you have even used the rubber sleeve as well to join the exhaust to the intake side though. Maybe you just mocked t up like that while working out the exhaust pipe length.
Spinning the whole turbo around would have it pointing nicely over the rail but would then make the air cleaner face the other way. Always compromises.
You can you get turbos though that face the other way in both the exhaust and inlet to make it work. But depends if they are to the specs you want.

Re: Escape's Hemi Punisher is running, new pics!

Has this Jeep ever been dyno'd? I'm curious to see the horsepower gains it made from the various upgrades, especially if it was dyno'd a few times during the various build stages.

Also, has it made any 1/4 mile passes yet? Curious to see what it runs and how well it gets off the line, as in 60' times.

Awesome machine, nonetheless!

Escape,
Any updates on this build? Any dyno numbers or drag strip times to share?

Thanks!
