I've heard of guys making they're own, coz that box that says 3.7 on it is just a silencer. It's a shame if they don't make one for the v6 that's straight to tb, coz it frees up extra room and provides a better noise as well. Do u have a tuner yet? Coz I know Hypertech makes one for ur made and it's a good tuner for lightly mod'd jeeps
I was going to wait to tune it after I get a cat back and some headers and after I change my tb and it sucks cause that look is badass ..you said we make our own and any threads?

I'm un sure if there is any threads but alls you'd need in a couple hose clamps, 3.5' silicone hose that u probably have connecting ur intake tube to ur resonator.. Use ur intake cone u already have, take off resonator opening up ur throttle body and somehow fabricate a intake tube similar to the one u have but longer and connect ur cone filter/heat shied to your throttle body with the silicone hose and clamps u already have.

A company called Sceptre sells all types and configurations of tube to run between your filter box and your throttle body. They even sell little hole saws and grommets for the temp sensor.

The components I'm talking about are not custom fit for any particular vehicle. They have tubes in a lot of different sizes, materials and bends that you can select to build what you need....straight sections, bends in 20, 45, and 90 and all kinds of couplings to put them together.

Re: fastman TB, magnaflow muffler.. intake needed on 4.7?

wow this threads back? lol

well to check in- still running a magnaflow muffler and a fastman TB. i have a superchips and i go back and forth from the 87 tune and the 93 tune. i did have an AFE STAGE 2 on her for a couple months- but hated it so i switched back to the stock airbox with a k&n drop-in. she runs great and sounds great as well..

I have real similar set up so far as you, one concern is, is that the tuner will shorten the life of the engine. How long have u been running yours and any problems? As this is my daily driver

shorten engine life? ive been running my superchips for over 50k.. ill run the 91 tune for a few months and then ill get tired of paying for gas so ill take it down to the 87 tune and run 89 in it. keep up with maintenance and you should be fine. i havent had any problems, had a misfire but a couple cans of seafoam cured that. i drive it daily- practically 1000mi a month

With the superchips tuner I know it says it's good for mods like cai's and exhausts (cat back) but after changing or enlarging your tb , is it still the correct tune for the wk coz I hear different things like that its only make correctly with those 2 mods and not a larger tb, like with the larger tb will u need a custom tune? Or will super chips canned then be just fine?
