Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

I have more mods than I had when i got the 68mm and one of my guys seems to think a bigger TB would solve some issues with tuning etc.

Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

So if i was to order a tb from this fastman, i see a cost of 180, plus 80 for a core plus 10 for shipping. Do they send out the throttle body and then refund the core charge when they get my current one back? How does this work. I cant exactly have my car in pieces for a week since its not at the dealer (no free rentals). And does the 03-present tb fit my 06 wk?

Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

dan fastman will know what fits what.

the core charge is returned to you when the core gets back to Dan.

so you give him the money, he sends you a ported tb, you do the swap, send your TB back to him, he returns the core charge.

we also have a vendor here who does this. I have no experience but others do.......

Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

Thanks for the info rob. Yes, i was reading there is also someone here that does that. However, I dont feel like being without the TB/Jeep for a duration or buying one, send it, then have to try and sell a random stock tb to someone. Seems easier this way. But ill inquire to our vendor if he has core options available.

Re: Fastman TB on the 4.7

hey mike, i could lend you my original. but I would want my same one back.

so i could send it to you, you install mine and send yours. then when yours is done, swap them and send mine back to me. it would cost you shipping X 2 to 80013. Its only about a pound. let me know.

*EDITED TO COMPLY WITH VENDOR GUIDELINES*

A little late to the party, but I just saw this....

If we are talking about the BLADE size, the largest is 71.5-72mm. The inlet is capable of being hogged out more.

The simple answer to this question is that when it comes to size of the inlet, as long as we're talking about EFI....bigger is better......................

One other thing that needs to be taken into consideration is what intake manifold you have. The different manifolds have slightly different inlets. The '08+ Gen 2 4.7 manifold has a very large inlet, so a taper from the blade to the IM inlet can be done. Of course, the adapters can be ported too.

That would be me.......

Right now I'm running a special exclusive to JG members where basically if you send me a TB to port (I do not care if it's one you pick up off Ebay or your personal TB), I'll do the works, then upon sending back to you, you send me back your stock TB for me to keep as a core. The only money you're out is a very small fee (10 for a 3.7, 15 for a 4.0, 20 for a 4.7), and shipping to 32114.

If you can provide me with a core to port, there is NO downtime. And of course swapping the TB's out takes all of 10 minutes.

See what I wrote above...you provide with me with a TB to port, and once you remove your stocker, you send it to me as a core for me to keep...Saves you money (most TBs go for 20 bucks, or 40ish with sensors), keeps my cost low, and eliminates the pain of trying to sell a stock TB to someone.

I'm only doing this special until I have cores in my possession. Once I have some in my arsenal, my prices will go up for those that want to exchange their cores.

What specific issues are you having with your tuning? It MIGHT lean your AFR at WOT by a few tenths, but if you have a problem,I would suggest a chit chat with your tuner, rather than trying to bandaid with buying more stuff.

Irfan (BPOD) is in the process of purchasing a 3.7 TB to send me. Once I get it I will be porting it and sending it right back out to him. Check out my vendor subforum for pricing and such. Link is in my sig.
