one ADVANTAGE of doing it Dan's way, with a machine, is that they are all the same, you do it by EYE so one port job can be better or worse than then the next. further, lets say you port one that dyno's an XX HP increase. there is no guarantee that the next one you do will be just as good becuase its all donr by hand and eye......
the rules of this forum state that you shouldnt be discussing other vendors products without HARD FACTS. So please stop discussing advantages of yours over Dans or anyone else for that matter, until you are ready to post up HARD FACTS!
Excuse me, I don't see the need for your attitude. Someone addressed me specifically and asked me a question, I answered. For someone that is a co-owner of the site I'd expect a little more courtesy.
I never said my product was better, or that his was worse. If you look closely I praised Dan for his service and for the products he makes in the FIRST PARAGRAPH. I spoke about the differences between his throttle bodies. I did say that there were some advantages to the way I do it, but I encourage you to find where in the above post that I said outright that my stuff is better than the Fastman's. Good luck finding it...because you won't.
Most of what I posted are indeed hard facts:
Fastman has multiple blade sizes, I do not.
Fastman removes the front shaft, I do not. The shaft does not consist of a large portion of the TB.
Fastman is a machinist/tool maker by profession, thus he uses his tools of his trade.
I hand-port the TBs. Yes, this means that there is some level of deviation from TB to TB. It allows me to contour the passage the way I want it.
My stuff is cheaper.
I am a registered vendor here, Dan is not.
Again, I'm sorry you feel the way you do...I've since re-edited the post(s) in question to simply "HARD FACTS" and literally nothing else.
