Flow Master 50 Series

Lookin for some opinions on Flow Master 50 Series on an 06 4.7. Also taking suggestions for other mufflers.

I had a 50 series on my 4.7. I loved it. She sounded so mean. The only issue is that it droned a little. Not much, just around 2k RPM.

I'm definitely not as sensitive as others to drone, lots of people would say the drone is bad. But they haven't heard a super 40 or a borla S on an SRT with headders....ha!

If you're ok with a little noise, you'll love it.

Re: Flow Master 50 Series

I have super 44s on my 69 Valiant and those are some badass mufflers. But I do mostly highway driving with the WK so drone IS one of my concerns.

Relwarc is dead on. The drone is there at 2K rpm and is audible with the radio off and windows up. I got rid of some of the drone by turning my exhaust outlet towards the rear instead of towards the ground. Got rid of the rest of the drone by turning the radio up past 10!

Yeppp! The delta 50 and 50 suv series are a little quieter if you want to avoid some of the drone. (You'll still get a little) the 4.7 is a very drone prone engine.

The drone on a 3.7L with 44 is quite significant as well. I agree though. After having the 44 the 50 just sounds so quiet.

You could also move up to the 70 series which will be a little quieter yet, but still some drone just not as bad.

Re: Flow Master 50 Series

I've got the 40 series on mine, sounds really really good. But like Doug said, flowmasters do drone.... alot. I've gotten used to it though.
Here's a vid of when i first had it installed, still sounds about the same a few years later.

Re: Flow Master 50 Series

Im thinking the 50 Series Delta Flow. Less drone, more throat.
