Hemi Performance intake by XV

http://www.xvmotorsports.com/product...x.cfm?nPID=272

This looks very well engineered. I don't see any dyno #'s on the site, but I would think this on a 5.7 wih a bored TB and headers would show significant gains.

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

according to MANY things I find when i google this intake, there are no actual gains unless you are working some sort of forced induction. actually, some reported a loss without forced induction.

even the 6.1 doesnt get anything out of this intake without F/I.

buy it for looks, not performance.

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

Will their headers fit a 5.7L jeep?

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

The intake is not a good piece to use, at least not on a 5.7, unless you are planning to use boost or spinning the motor upwards of 7k.

Well engineered, but it's not well-geared for a truck or Jeep.

Unfortunately, AR headers are so far the only company that makes headers for the 5.7 Jeep... So they have the market cornered and can charge an arm and leg.

Ive called them a few times, and are telling me 1600 shipped (including harness) I wanna try to spend a little less than that especially since ill have to probably buy a wideband

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

I'm running the XV intake but I do have forced induction. HP to the wheels was 1159 and the TQ was 1060. As you can see there was a large difference in the TQ number related to the HP number. The big advantage is how efficient the A/F delivery is to each cylinder. The down side for an NA application would the big decrease in TQ.

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

I looked at this intake mani, and was seriously considering running it. The reason I decided not to, is because my cam and headers are relatively small and are street biased. This manifold is high rpm biased and would be way better on a track vehicle.

Re: Hemi Performance intake by XV

I wish someone would make something like this for the 4.7 based motors.........
