You, Nothing. A trained professional should be the only person to do gears. It is super duper sensitive.
Thats why i said it will cost some coin to get it done.
Ask dylan to see if he can get you info on a set of 4:10 gears for the front and rear of your jeep and installation kits. Prolly going to cost about $500 ish total for parts. Then find a shop that will give you a reasonable rate to change the gears. Reasonable is between $500 to $700 PER AXLE. CALL AROUND.
I had my gears in the rear axle setup by a friend that claimed to know what he was doing. a few months later i had to spend $1000 locally to have the entire rear axle rebuilt because he screwed them up and the gears were groaning because they were 100% installed wrong. Had to buy all new gears and get them put in.
Once installed you need to be nice and easy on the truck for 500 miles. then change out the fluids. Thats the break in time.
