intake question

i'm planning to do a custom intake for my 2004 GC (4.0 engine), first i'm going to put coupler from the throttle body to a 90 degrees aluminium pipe, then another coupler to a straight pipe, then another coupler to one ebay air filter....but i don't know what size of coupler to use from the throttle body to the 90 defrees aluminium pipe, do i will be ok with a 2.5" and then tighten that or it's too small and i will be better with a 3"? (what's the size of the throttle body?)

the one that it's in the blue circle (lmfao at my example)

Re: intake question

Its 3" go to your local junk yard and pull the stock air tube off of a xj (cherokee) it will give you the angle you need. Then buy a 3" exhaust pipe to fit the length you need, one with a tapered end. Slap a filter on the end and you're good to go. Should'nt be more than 45-50 bucks.

i for one wasnt going out to my jeep to measure. got to remove a few things to do it, since you could do the same thing

the 43 of us that didnt answer did not know it was 3.0 inches off the top of our heads.

would you prefer 43 'I dont know' or 'go measure it' or 'its about 2-4 inches. get a big clamp to take out the slack

im not hating just thought your response was a bit unwarranted. and the same with your comment about MY forum
