Holy crap - RIPP is advertising 420 HP with the Supercharged 5.7...and you're getting that with a V6! Nice!

RIPP says 320 HP at 7 psi. 3 more pounds got you another 100 hp?

What supporting mods have you done? Injectors?

The 7lb tune they provide is pretty mild

With a hotter tune you can get 330-340 on 6-7lbs

I have a stage 2 kit ..which is basically srt sized piping/intercooler and 900cc injectors

With the larger intercooler and piping it increased boost to 10lbs..because of the larger intercooler and injectors it allows you to increase fuel and timing

The stock 3.6l fuel system falls flat on its face at the 410-420 hp mark ..which in this vehicle is ~530-540hp at the crank

That's why I stopped at that mark..and I'm pretty sure that's why ripp stopped at 400hp also..they like to be conservative and safe with their systems..I've since built a new motor (completely forged custom blower specific block/cams and heads)and built a new fuel system with 1/2" lines and a return system to allow for constant fuel flow..the stock system has no return line

I also have an srt in tank pump with a fuel pump booster and custom fuel rails that allow for more than double the stock fuel delivery

I'm hoping this should give me the fuel I need up top ..which is where it was lacking before

If you look at Ripp's videos you'll see them cranking out 400whp on the stage 1 kit in a Grand Cherokee

They're also getting 448whp on the stage 1 kit in the charger ...so I'm guessing they're running hotter tunes now because that means they took a 300hp. 3.6l and are getting over 500hp at the crank on 7-8lbs

If you haven't seen this then you need to

Re: Just ordered a RIPP for my 5.7

The front suitcase is the resonator and the rear twins at the tailpipes are the mufflers? For some reason I thougjt it was the other way around based upon part number descriptions.

I considered taking out the front suitcase and replacing with an X-pipe as an inexpensive option but I have zero tolerance for cabin drone.

If someone has direct experience with that on a 14 or earlier 5.7 WK2 without factory noise cancellation through the stereo, I'd love to hear about it. I only have 2 weeks to get my exhaust figured out before the tuning begins.

I had my front reso cut off and had a custom xpipe made..when coupled with the Gibson exhaust it had a fair amount of drone
But mine is a v6 which always has more drone than the v8..I then removed the Gibson and installed a magnaflow system and I no longer have any drone

If you keep the stock exhaust it might not drone out...but that's a question for the v8 guys

Oh, they are.

The cars see higher numbers because of the driveline, no transfer case, more power to the wheels.

RIPP - how much HP / TQ can these 8 speeds handle? Are there aftermarket billet parts for these trannies?

The 5.7 shares the same automatic as the 6.4. We do not know of any aftermarket parts available for these transmissions as of yet. We know they have no problem in the SRT8 at over 600 whp.

Was on the phone with them today inquiring about the same thing. I already have a Vortech V1 and tried convincing them to sell me the whole kit minus the supercharger. Still waiting on an answer

The RIPP kit for the 5.7 at least comes with the Vortech V3 which I think they have chosen for compressor efficiency. Visited the shop today to check on progress, things are not quite fitting up per the installation manual, we'll see how they adapt. Fingers crossed.
