Yes Sir,

I'm loving it so far, defintely louder in the cabin when WOT, but quieter at idle. I also believe the exhaust note changed a bit but perhaps I'm just hearing more of the intake noise. I picked up some new hose for the PCV to get the engine cover back on and did some dusting last night.

I defintely need to take my WK in to get detailed before the snow falls. I think I have salt in the carpet from last winter. I also need to pick up some Husky Liners, the factory slush mats don't work too well with a size 13 shoe.

Can't say for certain if the aFe will yield real performance gains to justify purchasing after already spending the cash on the BWoody, but definitely worth it to have my filter back under the hood in the winter. There was a lot of snow/ice packed around the filter last winter and don't want to worry about anything.

We've had some major road construction up here and there have been some roads with 6 inches of standing water and I feel like I have to creep through them for fear of hydrolocking from the wake of water. I'm happy with my purchase.

Klutch, enjoy your intake you have now as you've already invested a great deal of time into it. It looks great in orange and you'll never see another one like it. I switched from BWoody to aFe to bonzai snow and puddles not because I thought it would perform better.

Re: Just ordered an aFe Stage 2 Pro Dry S kit

I know bro I know. Ive just heard so many good things about the aFe.....The painting the intake was easy LOL.....I dunno, I can honestly see myself switching to aFe in the near future and painting that one as well.

I have had an AFE stage II for 3 years. The HP increase was noticable right away, and from 2k rpm up, not at high RPM only. The intake tube is huge compared to stock, and My guess is about 28 hp at the crank. If it were just a few HP, there is no way you could feel any difference. The first time driving it after install, it was a big improvement, and I had a new factory filter in it before installing the AFE. IF you get one, and you will change your opnion.

You have to understand, the "extra" horsepower you gain is when you are reving your engine past 5500rpm.

On a daily basis, you will not notice the extra 20hp gain, however yes you will notice a performance gain from the intake, just not the 20hp it says.

Honestly, at WOT and at high rpms, I highly doubt the intake produces 20 extra hp I would like to see numbers though

Has anybody order the pre filter for the filter on the afe intake. I cannot find what size fits the filter. If somebody got one install what is the part number. This is a cover that protects the filter and help to keep it clean.

Thanks

I am actually in the hunt for one myself. I had one on my JKs Airaid intake and it helped prevent water intrusion. I sent the dimensions of the aFe filter to outerwears.com to see what part number would be best to buy for our filters. They offer more colors and are a tad cheaper than the aFe ones. I'll let you know what I find out.

I'm right there with you. I'm up in Alpharetta. It really puts a damper on me wanting to keep the Jeep clean knowing that within seconds off washing it off, it's covered again.

Re: Just ordered an aFe Stage 2 Pro Dry S kit

Will the aFe fit the 3.7? If not, is there any way the aFe stage 2 for the 4.7 be modified to fit the 3.7?
