Re: Killer glass installed

Yeah, guess it depends on the level of modifications and purpose of the car (meaning if it's shown), then it could be cool. Just on its own (say if I were to get it for my particular Jeep and its 'purpose'), would seem to have too many ricer points not trying to offend anybody though.

There was a guy that used to be on the GTO forums who had a C6 (Z06, iirc) and he put a clear hood opening like the ZR1 and that was neat [I want to say he put a magnuson supercharger], but then he put this neon light thing and it just turned m off to the car. I'd still drive it of course, lol, but 86 that thing.

Like I said, I do like the clear in some ways, and initially thought it was that clear aluminum (now that stuff is cool, although I bet $$)

Ooooooohhh my gosh...

I so want that after seeing that pic Rob posted. That is sheer brilliance, where to buy??

Saying that, I would prefer to have blue Samco (or equiv.) silicone hoses in there but can't find any.

Re: Killer glass installed

For what it's worth, I used leftover graphite DEI exhaust wrap to wrap my coolant hoses. Gives a custom look over the black rubber, and keeps the heat within them, minimizing radiant heat (at least on my intake setup, the filter is very very close to the upper coolant hose). Truck warms up faster, doesn't get any warmer, and probably makes a subtle difference in performance.
