Multiple Displacement System meaning it switches from a v8 to a v4 in .04 seconds to save gas by 20% making it possible for a 330hp 5.7 V8 stuck within 5000lbs of sheet metal to achieve 20mpg on the highway.

Yea, between the speeds of 40 and 65 mph only though. LOL who really drives 65 on the highway these days. I cant seem to go any where at 70mph with out getting run off the road.
The MDS was altered in 2007. I can feel it kick in at 20 mph and up to 80 mph. At first Jeep advertised between 40-60 mph you are right, but they did 're-map' the system to make it more flexible.
Im kinda happy I dont have that feature on my little V6, just more crap to break and my luck it would get stuck where only half the cylinders where firing. Lol.
My MDS used to kick in at speeds as low as 30-35 mph, and I had been up around 72/73 mph with it still on. Granted this was on a totally flat road (as most of them are down in Florida). I definitely enjoy driving it more now though without MDS.
Also, I don't see why you wouldn't want 100 extra horses from the Hemi over the first gen 4.7. The only reason I got a WK was because the Hemi was offered.
