Re: Mopar performance upgrades for 2014+ Eco Diesel

Thanks for the Video Craig though I have heard owners removing the resonators saying its better to drive & has a faster turbo spool & also found this on a website which shows a power & torque increase without the resonators.

aFe Power New Product: 2.5″ DPF-Back Exhaust Systems 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6-3.0L EcoDiesel | TAW ALL ACCESS

http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...icle&make=Jeep Diesel&model=Grand Cherokee&year=2014&engine=3.0L&&brandID=65

I would purchase one of these if they ship to Australia though it would prob cost too much for shipping

The guinea pig needs to live somewhere Dandenong Vic.

Great attachment Yogi.

According to Trailhawk, the gains could be 10Kw at the wheels.....

Cheers, Craig

I'll be installing the AFE exhaust with no resonator by the end of next week and will let you know how it sounds and fees performance wise. I will then be ordering their intake and installing it as well in the following weeks. I will start a build thread when I do the exhaust.

You're going to have to remove the DPF if you want a better exhaust note. The DPF *is* the muffler for all intents and purposes. As a corollary, the DPF is also the overwhelming preponderance of the backpressure in our exhausts.

Those extra mufflers in our exhaust are effectively cosmetic, so anything that is "dpf-back" (like the Banks exhaust) is going to have very marginal or imperceptible improvements to offer.

You can obtain the PPEI tune or GDE off-road tune and then hack off your DPF if you really want to make an improvement. Then you can go with a turbo-back exhaust if you like.

Re: Mopar performance upgrades for 2014+ Eco Diesel

Yes I knew that but was also looking for some bigger tips to make it look good. I have a 2011 Duramax that is the same way, too Damn quiet, but I dont want to void the warrenty by removing the DPF

Hi GCBurt, the company (Horsepower Factory) that did the ECU and throttle re-map are also doing the exhaust.
They did before and after results when I had the ECU tune etc done, so they will do the same for the exhaust.
After about 10 tanks of fuel since the tune, my economy has improved slightly, yet I have so much more get up and go.

Keep you posted.

Cheers, Craig
