Mopar performance upgrades for 2014+ Eco Diesel

If anyone has heard of or has had success with any mopar diesel performance upgrades, please let me know. If you've had success with any non-mopar upgrades on the 3.0 Eco Diesel engine, please share!

Has any one tried to remove the mufflers from the CRD for a better sound. Im old school and like a little noise. How about after market exhaust?

Re: Mopar performance upgrades for 2014+ Eco Diesel

I've been looking to swap out the exhaust for my diesel jeep too but I've been a little hesitant about voiding the warranty. According to Jeep, only MOPAR parts are covered under any factory or MOPAR extended warranty and they still do not make any exhaust mods for the 3.0L Eco diesel. If you're not worried about the warranty, try going to xtremediesel.com. They have some good options and it's the only place I've found with anything to offer. I've also considered investigating whether or not the SRT-8 cat back exhaust would fit or could be modified to fit. The basic configuration is similar on both models. Just not sure about any differences in pipe diameters or bolt patterns of the 6.1L catalytic converter and 3.0L DEF filter system. I haven't gotten past the point of thinking about but it might be worth checking out.

Banks has exhaust system on their website for the Jeep EcoDiesel - your choice of black or polished exhaust tips, $550

Thanks man, that's a relatively new addition but it will probably be my choice. The site I mentioned in my thread has a couple other options, Magnaflow included. But Bank's and diesel just go together.

Bump,

I'd like to know too. I have a 15 on order. banks is claiming some impressive improvements in flow improvement and back pressure improvements. No dyno numbers showing any HP or Tq improvments or and MPG improvments. Would like to hear what people that have installed it think of it

You may want to check the Berrima Diesel Service web site. They claim to be "The Jeep go To" in Australia. They have a chip "DP Chip" they claim that will not effect warranty (I do question that) but will give you a noticeable increase in power and fuel economy and can quickly be removed. They claim it doesn't alter the computer also.
It would probably be a good idea to check results from other users before buying. Just a thought....Dave

Re: Mopar performance upgrades for 2014+ Eco Diesel

Installed the new Banks monster exhaust today on my 2015 Overland CRD. Didnt change the sound much but we will see about any drivabilty changes.
Super easy to install and only took about 1.5 hours, Looks great the tips are huge!

Ill post about it later when Ive had a chance to drive it a little

Wow, that would really be something, provided this exhaust is DPF-back. From what I've read, the overwhelming preponderance of our backpressure comes from the DPF.... so much so that we could basically run our Jeeps without anything post-DPF (i.e. no mufflers) and the exhaust sound would barely change (I've seen a video or two floating around of a WK2 EcoDiesel running with the exhaust removed).

Now, if this Banks exhaust is bundling a DPF-delete (e.g. turbo-back) then that's a different matter entirely.
