Re: My intake mockup...

All the stuff they sell will work...the 08 manifold and sullivan manifold will have issues regarding EGR and fitment....There is very little that is different . Pistons and all that stuff are interchangable

lets not forget the MOST important thing- tuning; if you look at places like SCT they CANNOT tune anything newer than 06. so while the HARD PARTS may be simialr same interchangeable without a way to tune them you are just PISSING IN THE WIND. superchips tunes ar e made for completely stock so no HELP THERE.

a SULLIVAN intake MAY BE COOL but if i cannot tune for it its a pretty paper weight/

Cant go by model year alone...PCM number determines compatibility and mopar uses whatever is on the shelf

Diablo has been tuning the later model 4.7 stuff

No animosity here, it's just important to note what is (or what isn't) available/useable out there. Understandably there has been real changes over the years so there is alot of confusion/misinformation that gets passed around.

All companies (SC, SCT, Diablo etc) base everything by the PCM # because Chrysler has a bad tendency to mix n match from year to year. PCM # not only indicates what "language" (JTEC vs JTEC + vs NGC2,3,4....) the PCM uses but differences in the code itself. I've seen a WJ with a WK (05) PCM and all sorts of goofy stuff happen.
