Hey guys! I need some help!! I'm heading on vacation at the end of this week and I would really like to put an exhaust on before I go....for the "improved gas mileage".... ok... i really just want to hear the hemi scream through the mountains!! :)

I obviously don't have much time to do anything too creative, so I'm probably only gonna be able to put on a muffler.... but what would you guys recommend? I want something that is going to sound deep and mean and I already cleared it with the girlfriend and she doesn't mind some drone inside the cabin...she says its a damn hemi and she wants it to sound like one!! haha!!

Thanks in advance!!

I have the dynomax. I think these flowmaster 40 and really loud mufflers and or straight through piping sounds too much like a camaro/mustang output. My jeep is not a sports car, unless you have the srt sports suv, imo. I wanted a nice low SUV style rumble at idle and turns heads on accelleration. Id recommend the one i have personally (http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.php?muffler=superturbo) or any other brands model of muffler that is designed for SUV's. You are not necessarily losing performance just cause your neighbors cant hear your coming a mile away.

Just ordered the dynomax bullet muffler like Joe has! Will be in tomorrow morning and hopefully will get it installed tomorrow night!

Question... since the dynomax is a straight in and out design, will I have any trouble getting the inlet flange and outlet pipe to line up? I am planning on chopping the pipe right after the stock muffler so I can reuse the stock flange and everything back (the reso is gonna stay on for now cause I don't have much time...leaving on saturday!!). I am also gonna cut the front flange off of the front of the muffler to weld onto an extension pipe, but my concern is the alignment, since the stock configuration is offset in and center out.... am I gonna have trouble getting things to line up properly??

thanks,
-Chris

That is a question for my installer. All I did was bring the muffler, 1 piece of extension pipe, and a new turndown tip and watched it be installed. :D

I honestly don't have any idea how to post a video on here, and I'm heading out for vacation today, but let me know how and I will try to get one up asap!!
