Hello everybody, my shocks are shot after 97K and 5 years. Im looking for shocks that will be an overall improvement over OEM. It seems the following brands tend to come up: Bilstein HD, Edelbrock IAS Performer, and Monroe Reflex. Can anyone recommend a good shock among these 3? I don't offroad and Im going to stick solely on City/highway. I do have to deal with potholes though . Also, I've been told its a good idea to change the steering stabilizer at the same time, can anyone recommend any particular models? Is it really necessary?
Vehicle info:
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
No Lift or upcountry, stock height.
ive got the bilstein HD's. I think they are great. its kind of a pain getting the bolts off underneath the jeep though. Use some bolt loosener for sure.
i like them but they're really expensive. I plan on getting the bilstiens when i drop it because only the back are edelbrock. If you dont mind some used ones. i'll sell them to you.
I won't be buying soon but I'll let you know if anything. In regards to the steering stabilizer, was it a noticeable change? What about the Monroe steering stabilizer?
I dont plan on droping it till about a month. If you want i can hold them for you. I can really remember any more since it been like 2 yrs since i got it. Idk... How much is it?
