New WJ

So my brother just brought a new Wj, 04 with the V8. Hes heard me talk about this forum so he asked me to get some opinion on what he should do as far as exhaust and intake. Hes guna lift it and he knows plenty about that, but performance is neither of our specialties.

Intake:
What to run with these engines? I know most intakes dont do alot except sound good, but like the bwoody is supposedly good for the WKs, it there a certain one that most people prefer for the WJ?

Exhaust:
Should he do a bullet muffler or a full system and maybe headers? (He wants loud, very loud) Whats a good set up?

Please no stupid responses

Thanks

Re: New WJ

K&N as for Intakes or an Airaid.

Hannes is the man for mufflers. He's on his what now 20th set on his WJ? He knows.

Re: New WJ

I stand behind K&N for intakes. I've had a K&N on both of my lasts Jeep's and love them. Their website says it can give a WJ's V8 13+hp if I remember correctly.

Yes...I know about exhaust...and its not number 20 Paul...its only 14...LOL!!!

If you want ridiculously LOUD, get a PowerStick from ClassicCambered.com. Super loud, raw tone. Search hb1213 on youtube, and you can hear it.

There are no headers of WJ's. Unless you fab some up, you're stuck with the stockers...

Re: New WJ

If you want exhaust contact Nick kolak@aol.com and he has a custome setup that is loud and as effective as an exhaust on a WJ can be.

"kolak exhaust wj" search results:
http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f

I'm interested to hear what you think.

Re: New WJ

You can do some kind of tune, perhaps a ported throttle body, and thats pretty much were cheap performance stops...lol...
