Re: Official CAI/Exhaust Thread!!!!!!!

Walker mufflers are pretty good too. And readily available over here too
The little mufflers we have on there now are basically one step up from a hot dog. So, there's just straight through baby, she has a note no worries lol

Just a heads-up for you bro

This is the exhaust his apprentice did on my XJ.

BINGO! trust me DUDE! Get a cheap SRT exhaust off the red site. You and your installer will thank me later! I thought the same thing you did......the first SRT exhaust i had and didnt get the section that goes over the suspension. It was a nightmare....cost me more money and would hit going over bumps etc. Save yourself some heartache and listen to me.....LOL!

Take my advice dude--------not trying to be a smart ass either. i really dont want ya to go through the expense.

Re: Official CAI/Exhaust Thread!!!!!!!

I'm suprised more of you don't have your Jeeps professionally rust-proofed. I take mine to the beach fairly often, and it looks better than alot of your undercarriages. It only costs a few hundred bucks to get it done.

It can be done at home with a pressure sprayer and some ATF and another oil i think, But it makes it a real pain in the ass to work on the truck ever. If you look at the pic its only the welds that rust, and edges of the seams. There is nothing under it that would need repair or attention any time soon, i check every time i have it on a lift.

Re: Official CAI/Exhaust Thread!!!!!!!

Yeah I understand that. Maybe it's a cultural difference?
Here in Oz it's very common to rustproof cars, mainly 4wd's. We tend to use fully drying preventers. some dry clear, some dry black, but they are designed to shield your truck from the elements. We spray inside rails and everywhere it's difficult to get a hose into after being on the beach. Because it dries hard, it's not messy to work on the car.
The days of spraying fish oil around it are thankfully long gone!

Re: Official CAI/Exhaust Thread!!!!!!!

Yea, i know its bad, I have not bought anything in a very long time.

I will have this all paid off in a few months though.

I should be starting the original job i was promised back in june soon but until i do i am still looking for other work. only reason i opened the pay pal credit account is its 3 months no payments.

Its all good, these were the two major things i wanted to get done before winter, everything else will sit on the back burner for now.

I still have to sell my stock wheels and tires once i get new tires later this year and i am gonna put my exhaust up for sale now. Hopefully i can make some money off selling them so i can pay myself back.
