Optional battery & Alternator

Does Jeep offer an upgrade to the Battery & Alternator for the GC Summit there are sure a lot of thing going on that require DC power, I bet that the battery is going to be my first break down, just found out the battery is under the front passenger seatů must be a Jeep thing right?

Re: Optional battery & Alternator

The GC already has an absorbed glass mat battery under the passenger seat. The addition of anything not an approved Jeep accessary would likely void your electrical warranty. Check with Jeep factory service or customer service to make sure. Maybe a better choice would be a jump start pack.

The standard alternator is 180 amps, 220 if you have factory towing package, both should be ample

I'm assuming you have a Summit based on your avatar. You should have the 220A alternator which is pretty large. I wouldn't worry about it.
