Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

I want to put a supercharger on my 2014 Overland 5.7. The only place I've found that makes it for my Jeep specifically is RIPP. While I'm sure it's an awesome product, $6300.00 I feel is a little steep especially considering it's going to cost me about $2,000.00 to have it installed. Does anyone know anywhere else to get a supercharger?

Re: Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

I've called a few places here in El Paso, and I've only found two shops that said they could/would do it. When I asked for an estimate they both said between $1000 and $2000 but would need to see the kit to know for sure. Everything I've read says it takes between 5-7 hours to install, but these shops said 10-12 hours. Maybe it's just the run around, but sadly I just don't have many options here.

I'd say do it your self , the kit is great , minimum tools you will need .

Re: Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

I've seriously been giving that option a lot of thought. Everything looks pretty straight forward on the install.

Re: Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

I'm looking for options as well. I've been told to run from RIPP products.

We currently have a 2010 SRT8, want to get in to a 14, but not an SRT, so that means a supercharged 5.7!!

Re: Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

It honestly looks like RIPP is the only option. I've spent about a month calling and shopping around. I haven't even found anyone who would create a turbocharger. There's always the nitrous option, but I want something permanent.

Re: Other than RIPP for a supercharger?

Kenne Belle makes a 5.7 option for the charger and other platforms, I'm sure one could be made to work. Turbos would be awesome, but I think a supercharger would be more realistic. We are also looking into Whipple and Magna Charger.

Supercharging isn't magic, its just getting parts that will fit. It seems that the RIPP parts are kind of junk.
