Okay i just picked me up a set of MICKY'S ET SLICKS{26x10x15}with two diamond black steel rims 5x4.5 im popping out my shaft 50-70 pounds right there lol...It sucks losing 20% of your horse power due to the AWD..Im planning on going friday Hoping to shave off some time any guess guys..13.5 is what truck runs 3 out of 5 passes????
I'm guessing you'll drop .2 of a second. Better get some practice before hitting the strip for the first time in 2wd mode. Truck will launch and drive very different. Also, try not to freak out at the top end of the track when the back end of the truck starts to sway side to side. Took me a few runs to relax and not try to correct it when this starts. Running on soft-sidewalled slicks takes some getting used to.
Wow thats good to know for real thanks !!! Truck will hook if a 700hp RX-7 hooked on these tires i know my 380HP can hook lol....i can always change the rims to some stock ZJ 15inch rims or a lighter weight 15x8
Im going to track friday in 2WD but its only the `1/8 miles the 1/4 track is the 23rd Now the bet on the 1/8 is anything in the 8.6's i take bug guard off !!
I guess im not getting what your doing here, is having it only rear wheel drive somehow increasing HP because your disconnecting the front? I can kinda see why it would but if you can explain it in simple terms i'd appreciate it.
