Replacing alternator

So apparently when i bought my jeep a few months ago, the alternator had been going bad and i did not know... so now its burned and i need to buy a new one... Do you guys know where i can find one for a good price? orr any recommendations? Are there any special alternators for performance out there? Thanks

seems like a pretty badass alt. 220amp at 2k rpm is sweeeet! Good for any high-power audio system etc. keep that battery real full haha

Re: Replacing alternator

Does anyone know of a cheaper high output alternator? Or they all in this range? I noticed my center console lights dimming a little in my car the other night, and I already have a 10 Farad cap for my stereo.
