Re: SLP UnderDrive Pulley...

You may want to look into the ATI SUPERDAMPER... EVERY NASCAR engine runs the same ATI SUPERDAMPER. So they are tested Tried and true to protect your engine from harmfull harmonics... at the same time you can chose your under/overdrive ratios.

Let me know if your intrested and we can set you up with an ATI SUPER DAMPER harmonic balancer.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

Re: SLP UnderDrive Pulley...

I was just on the Stillen site where they speak about underdrive pulleys. I have no clue about them really though. From my understanding they are lighter and smaller in diameter pullys that put less strain on the motor by turning the accessories slower, correct? But if my alternator is turning slower doesnt that effect my electrical componants? And would a smaller sized belt be needed with these? And does it really make that much of a difference getting them? From the prices I see for one pulley, they want like $150. Maybe someone can explain the concept in short term form so i have a better understanding of it. Thanks.

Re: SLP UnderDrive Pulley...

its like a 10hp increase. its smaller, most places sell the belt with the pulley, usually (other car exp) it only effects your power if you are running alot of shit (amps, subs, etc) some people will have a slight head light dim when they stop because of that, but most usually wont see a change. but from what ive seen its never enough to hurt anything you are powering.

Re: SLP UnderDrive Pulley...

It sounds like a good mod then to me. I do have two high powered amps but I think because I have HID's and led fog ligh bulbs mu headlights dont seem to dim at all. What about electric water pump motors, I read the can add as much as 10-20 HP alone.

And with the underdrive, I have yet to come across anything listed for a 3.7 WK. And what pullies would a kit replace, alternator, water pump, and steering pump?
