SLP Underdrive Pulley

So the pulley for the 6.1 works for the 5,7 if I'm not mistaken.. this question is for Mario: Do you notice any power surges at idle.. did you up the RPM at idle to fix this and do you recommend a cooler thermostat? Just checking to see if a u/d pulley would affect the daily drivers accessory needs such as lights, a/c, power steering etc...

The increased HP would be a plus but I like to cover all ground before making certain purchases.

Ryan I'm not 100% it does, I was told it does but I haven't seen the belt that works with the 5.7s yet. I've been calling a friend that might have the answer but I haven't been able to get in touch with him yet.
When I installed it on my SRT I did not felt any difference at idle or with anything else, everything else still worked the same. I was told that's due to the high amp Alternator we have (not sure if is the same alternator for the 5.7L thou, but it should be...)
On some older jeeps or older vehicles for that matter that had lowered amperage alternators and changed to an UD pulley did see some of the problems you are concerned with.

I'll give you a call tomorrow and let you know for sure if I find the belt for it.

And to answer the question if it works or not... Yes it did for me. Not to a point were I can tell from my butt-dyno but I tested it at the track and I noticed some improvement. For the amount of HP that you might gain it won't be enough to feel it once you step on it. Still I believe in small mods that work and I'm sure this is one of them. Every little bit helps .
