also what about the springs? should you replace those too or just get the bilstien shocks

The 01' has about 190k miles and the springs are the original ones. Will be her 3rd set of shocks. To be honest, I've never replaced a coil spring because it was "worn out" and tend to run my Jeeps into the mid 200k to 300k range. I have replaced coils before but that was because I wanted a different height, not because they needed replaced.

new bilstein shocks will make a huge difference. i replaced all 4 on my wj, with bilsteins and it felt brand new again.
