Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

unless we go all tyhe way into the srt8 suspension OR coil-overs WKs dont need the a-arms as proved by Fabain who got his jeep aligned perfectly without the a-arms. anything lower than a stock srt8 perolly benefits from these.

Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

quite a few.......but VERY FEW have the SRT8 bilsteins.

srt8 bilsteins are 1 inch shorter...... and are dealer or salvage only.

so unless the WK have the SRT8 bilstens they dont have this problem. at least none that I have seen. so IMO it seems like a waste of money for the WK. and are only practical for the lowered SRT8 or the WK that has the SRT8 Lowering SPRINGS AS WELL AS THE SRT8 SHOCKS.

i could be wrong but I cant recall anyone having alignment issues EXCEPT SRT8 with springs or like Fabian, the tech didnt understand how to adjust it by slding the lower.

i should add the WKs that are going with the coil-overs....this will benefit them as well since the CO are based on an srt8 IIRC.

Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

robpp if you have the srt8 eibachs or the bwoodys with stock struts and shocks alignment is a problem.mine was -0.9 drivers and -0.8 passengers side with the camber adjustments maxed out [slots] which are the same as the srt8 guys. the other might not have had there springs on long enough to burn the inside of the tires up due to - camber.

Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

if you read my piost i didnt play know it all. i said i havebt seen anyone on here in 18 months complain that it was a problem.

and with the setup you talk about ; srt8 lowering springs with stock WK shocks. / save up for more than the a-arms, you need new shocks and struts very quickly. oh yeah and tires too. sounds like a great set up. and 500 a-arms new upper Bjs.

Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

why do you need new struts and shocks, mine are fine after 8,000 miles later.i did trim my front bump stops.the shocks are a twin tube shock.which means they perform the same at any height as long as they are not bottomed out

Re: SPC 23410 Ball Joint (?)

I have the complete SRT suspension and its hard to get the camber in. Mine is in....but very close to off. Ive already lost one set of front runflats to inside wear....just like the SRT guys.

I know this guy Rob....and stand behind that he is not shilling or trolling. he's a WK guy just like us.

Lineman-weve had several members blow the stock WK struts/shocks on SRT8 springs....thats why the recomendation for new struts/shocks with SRT lowering springs. BUT...Im doing the BC coilovers from Black Ops and want the control arms to adjust the camber.
