Sprint Booster Power Converter-ECM Remapping

Hi All,Does anyone have any experience with the Sprint Booster Power Converter ECM remapping? A friend just installed it in his supercharged mini cooper and is extremly impressed with the improved throttle response. Thanks!

Ya - It seems very pricy for just remapping ECM , maybe for $50 tho.

Re: Sprint Booster Power Converter-ECM Remapping

My understanding is that while this does work, this effect of reducing throttle lag can also be achieved through Diablo/SCT tuning.

When Hemibeast installed one of my ported TBs, I believe he said it helped reduce the lag as well. In theory, the modified TB blade would open more than a stock one in a given unit of time, thus reducing the time in which the vehicle moves.

Re: Sprint Booster Power Converter-ECM Remapping

All it does it amplify the throttle signal going to the ECM and is totally different than a remap. You could get the same results by pushing your foot down faster... The only reason it might feel faster is because where you're used to going a certain speed at a certain throttle position you'll actually be sending a signal of it being a higher throttle position.

When you consider the fractions of a second it can take to put your foot down all you're doing is reducing that time by ~25% and nothing more. There are far better upgrades that could be purchased for that kind of money.
