Re: Supercharger or build a turbo? JGC SRT8

I'm running 8.4psi @ 6,000ft of elevation and putting 566hp at the wheels. I did decide to go with a built SHR Viking just to be safe! Our blocks can deal with HP up to about 625...anything more and you need to go forged. Tranny is good to 550-600. Either way, I'd say tranny is a must for peace of mind.

Thanks bro! You really can't go wrong either way. Stock they're fast, boosted they're retarded LOL

The nice thing about your build is the fact that you have a great setup that you can expand on in future if you want to with engine/tranny upgrades.

750hp might be optimistic. Especially without pulling the motor and going forged internals. Like I said, our motors are good for 600-625hp. You'll need to be in the 10-12psi for a number like that (750). Especially at this altitude! If I were you, I'd start around 6-7psi. See what it puts down and build up from there. You'll need a tranny before going higher and that's $3-4k.
