Re: Supercharger or build a turbo? JGC SRT8

That's all personal taste man. If you want the instant torque, go supercharger. If you want the roll-on power, go turbo.

Pound for pound, if you put on a supercharger pushing 8 lbs of boost, and a turbo pushing the same amount. The Turbo will yield better 1/4 mile times. It seems as though 99% of the jeeps out there have experienced this.

The difference between times depends on a whole lot. You'll be driving a BEAST either way.

Agree that turbos will give you more power for any given boost. On top of that, you can get a much greater max hp. Turbo builds are typically $3-5k pricier.

You going to run a different tranny? Not sure if that trans can hold 750. I think it's only rated for 550

Would def need a tranny and probably some light top end motor work. Anything over 550 and the trans is def going to give up.

You will need to get a forged rotating assembly if your wanting to run more than 8-10lbs boost.

Could you run a Magna charger running 6lbs of boost with stock internals and stock trans.

he told me were only gonna run 6-7lbs of boost but if we wanted to go to 8 we'll have to do tranny work n other modifications, but im thinkin jus for a street jeep and occasional runs on the track ill b pushin more than i need
