Re: Superchips Torque management 4.7

I didn't change any of the shift schedules, mainly because I wasn't sure what to set them too. However, I changed the torque management to 25% across all rpms. I'm not sure which way is better, meaning, if i set it to 25% is that only 25% tm active? At first i raised everything to about 90% the throttle felt a little more snappy, however with the settings at 25% it felt like it gained speed faster. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. If nothing else for 40 bux, it's not a bad option to play around with.

Re: Superchips Torque management 4.7

I found an awsome thread on dodgetalk.com concerning the superchips and the 4.7. Obviously they aren't exactly the same, but they are very close, on guy posted a couple of nice graphs of his shift schedule and other settings, I'm thinkin i'll copy them tomorrow. As for the torque management setting, it looks like most of them set it to about 8-10%, I'll be changing that again tomorrow from 25%.

Re: Superchips Torque management 4.7

So I entered in the shift schedule as close to the previously posted link as I could. They are slightly different. It felt somewhat like I was driving using the manual shift feature. Just curious thought, what's the basic strategy for creating a shift schedule? Any pointers would help out alot, as I don't really know anything when it comes to shift points. Anyone ever map out their own shift schedule? I might just lower the tm for now and go back to superchips schedule until I can find more info on the subject.

Re: Superchips Torque management 4.7

basically it allows you to choose when it shifts

Like... your in a particular area and your going 45 but really want to be down a gear... your changing shift points.

For most it seems like they wanted it to change the torque management.

Re: Superchips Torque management 4.7

Well after toying around with the shift schedule, I went back to the superchips pre-loaded schedule. Lowered the tm to 15% on WOT and 6.8% on part throttle. It DEFINENTLY makes a difference. It took a little tweaking but it pulls harder for sure from about 30-70mph. Anybody with the 4.7 and superchips, I would recommend this upgrade. Can't wait for cooler temps again, 95 today!!!
