Re: Swaybar mod - zerk fitting

that must be the addco. see the clamp he has . trying to replicate the weld on washer thing on the stock bars. the addco moves back and forth without that mod.

but if has the stock rubber bushings grease not needed. maybe he got some poly.....

i have a thread about all of that. i added the zerk to the bracket that came with my addco for the front but it still slid and clunked bad so i went with front srt8 bar.

i still have rear addco with greassable Energy suspension. but the ES dont fit the front. hence some hybrid like the pic.

Re: Swaybar mod - zerk fitting

Yeah, the clamp solves the issue with the bar walking over. I had the poly bushing with some joke-like chinese brackets, I replaced with oem when the brackets bent in a ridiculous fashion. The oem bushing really is too tight for the Addco bar, so I figured a little grease was in order. It slides around like a dutch hoor now.

Re: Swaybar mod - zerk fitting

Wow ! that's a really good deal, someone would be crazy not to take you up on that. I haven't had a chance to compare it to an SRT8 bar, but it's a helluva stout bar.

Re: Swaybar mod - zerk fitting

its a hair thicker than the srt8 one, i had all 3 side by side by side. but the ends are where its noticeable. and the srt8 had those washers welded on.

Re: Swaybar mod - zerk fitting

I had wanted to do this mod on my 2001 Durango, that frickin front sway bar always squeeked, drove me nutz. Durango replaced by WK, an expensive fix.
