Re: The crapyears strike again!

I wonder if this kind of issue can be covered under factory warranty.
Good choice on the tires.

Nope. Once.

First time I had to replace a tire, I ran over a piece of a parking sign pole that was cut, you know in the spots that are on the street because of the bike lanes.

I expect 20k miles out of em. They arent a soft compound like the t1-r's. Thank God. lol

Like Scooter said, wheel alignment and tire.

The SRT's come from the factory with a negative camber setting for better handling.

Nope. Tires arent covered under the 3/36.

So far I am loving these tires. Such a better ride on these. Smooth and not so much noise.

Main thing though is the 80mph vibration I had with the crapyears is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once you drive on those Toyos, you'll wonder how you ever rode on anything else. The last car I(allegedly) modded in the USA before (allegedly) coming to Korea, I put Toyo Proxes. They are AWESOME. I usually go for a Khumo Ecsta, but the Ts were on sale, and I was glad after.

That solid center rib is like velcro in inclement weather, like superglue in dry!

Re: The crapyears strike again!

my toyos break loose if the road is wet, even under normal driving I will see the traction light flicker going around corners or up hills. Next time it rains go out for a drive and test them out you can kick them out pretty easy.

dry roads = stick like glue, love them

Really? Not my experience. Did you have the same or similar design with the solid center rib? The first Toyos I bought didn't have it, and I didn't like the performance so I got rid of them and went with an early version of the Proxes. I can't remember the exact model name. I want to say they were either Proxes ST or S4(?). Not sure. Anyway, I did have them on a FWD vehicle, where loss of traction translates into under-steer, and mine all but disappeared. My friend was convinced enough to autocross in them on his 300+ H.P. Talon AWD. He loved them.

I have the Proxes ST II, this is a shot of my actual tire on my SRT8...

...but yea if its wet out I go very easy on the gas, be it from a stop, or changing lanes on the highway.
