so are you gonna use the SRT side skirt because that's the only way I can imagine exaust coming out of the side skirt. some heat shield would be a good investment too

Might want to check your state's motor vehicle regs before you get too far along ......

Re: Thinking of doing something fun with the exhaust

ok well i think my idea has changed...

Thank everyone for thier input, but the legality of it is iffy, cuz... well... its illegal.. but so are the tints and the lights haha...

I also dont think the side skirts are big enough, and i dont want anyone burning themselves getting out...

I don't want any tail pipes, no chrome, no silver, so i guess im going to leave it like it is and just replace the muffler.

Re: Thinking of doing something fun with the exhaust

Yeah...I had a dual side exits on my WJ. It looked cool, but it had a lot of issues. There was like NO real space to get the pipe the drivers side, but after a lot of time and money, it "worked" out. But I did have some people get out the back, and their legs touched the tips...they weren't very happy...LOL...

On a WK you have the gas tank of the drivers side, so it would be one heck of a job if even possible.

I think you're latest idea is the best bet! What kinda muffler are you thinking about swapping in there?

Re: Thinking of doing something fun with the exhaust

I thought you already had the srt side skirts on. It would never work with the stock plastics on there. But you changed your mind anyways so no sence in talking about it.

BUT, the more and more I think about it, those tips, one on each side in front of the rear wheels coming thru the srt side skirts would look really cool IMO.

Re: Thinking of doing something fun with the exhaust

I love the new Vipers how their exhasut looks (dual exhasut through side skirt all blacked out)...I think you should emulate that BUT like someone said it will be difficult b/c of the gas tank! Although it prolly can be done if you get a great exhaust guy...

Its all up to you. I like the idea though.

Ive only had 2 people get burned on my tips below the door. My stupid hippie sister and my friends bimbo girlfriend.

I saw go for it. If i was going to buy the mopar body kit i wanted to make cut outs to fit around the tips.
