No. I changed mine every 15,000. I think they are rated for 20-30k... but it ultimately depends on where you live and the conditions you encounter.

I've had my oil tested....so I know it doesnt let dirt into the system. But yeah...I would get a dry filter so you dont have to oil it

I had a K & N on my SHO and took it out as even though not overoiled, it fouled the MAF sensor twice, and the car bucked and ran like crap. AFE blue oil is touted not to have that problem, and has worked great so far in the SHO and the Jeep.
