Re: Tuning question, SCT vs. Diablo Predator

HemiBeast and those of you who have the predator: can you effectively raise the shift points and rev limiter, or are those functions not avaialable on the Jeeps as of yet. I have been told on the Diablo Forum that these functions work...but I'd like to hear it from those of you that have the unit and have actually been able to modify the tranny programming.

I currently have an SCT tune and love it...but as has been stated previously, there are no provisions for tranny programming.

Please advise, for I am considering the Trinity/Predator as my next programmer.

Thanks

Re: Tuning question, SCT vs. Diablo Predator

Quick Answer, yes you can raise shift points and rev limiters.

But as I was playing around with it, and looking at the max. You cant raise it more than say 1000 rpm. Maybe less if i remember correctly.

As far as shift points, I am just running a 93 tune, and can defiantely feel the shifts are way more firm. So I am sure that functionality is in there somewhere.

Its a good buy man, I really enjoy mine.

Edit: I know you probably arent looking to raise it more than 1k rpm... but I am just saying, dont expect the thing to rev to 8k

Re: Tuning question, SCT vs. Diablo Predator

I can chime in here as far as SCT goes hands down it KICKS azz...I have a B&G tune in my 2001 WJ and a SCT hemifever tune in my 1998 5.9 and they are worlds apart as far as what they can do...I got well over 43HP to the rear with my SCT tune with more left to get if i want...The tuning support hands down rocks You can not go wrong by any means if u go SCT route
